What makes a team work?

What makes a team work?

I went to lunch today with my good friend Kevin Hague who used to be on my team at work. He was telling me about this book he is reading called X-Teams. It’s basically about how teams work in a corporate setting and how teams in a traditional sense sometimes fall short of maximum effectiveness due to the nature of the team dynamic itself. X-Teams is a new approach to creating nimble corporate teams that reach outward to fuel the creative, innovative processes. Later I read up a little about the book, and saw some of what he was talking about. The team structure that I have been accustomed to is definitely a “traditional” type of team, which may or may not be the best way to have your team set up. I’m intrigued and will have to pick this book up. Once I’m done reading my current book first though. And what might that be? Moby Dick: or the Whale, which by the way should be made into a movie with today’s technology. This would make for a great flick!
